Brief Biography

Arinze Tagbo Mozie is a native of Ogbunike, in Oyi L. G.A of  Anambra State was born  in Obalande, Lagos on August 13, 1954. Attended kindergarten in Jinadu Memorial Primary School Falomo, Lagos in 1959. Arinze Had his primary school education in 1962 at St. Bartholomew’s Primary School, Asata, Enugu.
He attended Union Secondary School Ankunanwa, Enugu from 1967 to 1973 for his secondary education.And got admission for his undergraduate studies in September 1974 to read for an Honours degree in Geography. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Geography in 1978. He was awarded the foundation scholarship of the University of Nigeria Nsukka in 1975.  He played football actively for the university from 1974-1978. He was a member of the Nsukka Blue Diamonds football team from 1974 to 1978. He was the Captain of Games for Awolowo Hall in 1977-78 and the hall won the Vice Chancellor’s Cup in 1977. He was awarded the University of Nigeria Nsukka letter in sports (football) in 1977.
 Arinze had his NYSC in the Federal Government College Kano as a Geography tutor in 1978-79. He took up appointment with the Kano State Institute for Higher Education in Gumel Advanced College of Education in 1979 and served till April 1984, left Kano State in 1984 for Anambra State and was engaged in his private enterprise of land rating for clients with LAND CONSUTLT AGENCY between 1985 and April 1988.
He joined the defunct College of Education Eha Amufu which later became the Federal College of Education, Eha Amufu in May 1988. He served in the college till 2007  joined the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in June 2007 as a Lecturer I. He has published his papers in international and local journals. And has attended many international conferences and co-authored some works with other authors. He has held many positions of high responsibility all through his career till date.
Mr. A.T. Mozie holds a Master of Science Degree in Geomorphology of the University of Nigeria Nsukka obtained under the tutelage of the renowned Geomorphologist and Philosopher of Geography Professor G.E.K. Ofomata. He teaches Pure and Applied Geomorphology at the undergraduate and post graduate levels. His research interests are in Geomorphology-Terrain Analysis and natural hazards (gully erosion control, landscape restoration and rehabilitation and floods). He was a member of the Nigerian Water Erosion Management Project in 2011.
 A. T Mozie obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree from Nnamdi Azikiwe in 2005 and was a former Chairman of the Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union (COEASU) a member of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) .He is married to Mrs. Josephine Ogechukwu Mozie (Nee Onyemutagui). They belong to the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion at St. Mark’s Anglican Church, Ogbunike, Anambra State. They have four children and they have  an all- graduates family. Mr. A.T. Mozie holds the titles of Odu in Ogbunike inherited from his forebearers; Ifeka Ego of UmuOmennu, Umueri, Ogbunike; Ikpe malu Eziokwu I of Ihenyi community. Eha Amufu, Isi Uzo LGA , Enugu State and Odibo Chukwu (God’s Servant) of the Anglican Church Community in Ogbunike and Oyi Archdeaconry of the Niger Dioceses of Anambra State.

Brief Biography

Miss Akukwe Thecla I. is a lecturer in the Department of Geography, University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She joined the University of Nigeria services in 2009. She obtained her B.Sc (Hons) and M.Sc (Environmental Management) Degrees in Geography from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She won the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and Chief Enoch Ifediora Oli prizes for the Best Graduate in the Department of Geography for the 2006/2007 Session. She also took a short course in Flood Risk Management at UNESCO-IHE, Delft, The Netherlands and she is presently pursuing a Ph.D programme in Environmental Management with special interest in flood risk management.

Onyekwelu Chukwuemeka, Anthony was born on 13th August 1966. He is from Adazi Nnukwu,Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra state Nigeria.Anthony is happily married with three children.  Below are his educational background and qualifications:
