I am directed to inform the University Community that the National Economics Students Association (NESA), University of Nigeria will host a Public Lecture on Monday, November 14, 2013.
The topic of the lecture, “Youth Empowerment and Good Government: A Veritable Tool for Economic Development” will be delivered the former Governor of Abia State, His Excellency, Dr. Orji Uzoh Kalu MON who is also the Guest Speaker at the event.
The Head, Department of Economics, Professor C.C. Agu cordially invites the University Community to this lecture at Princess Alexandra Auditorium & Unity Hall, Nsukka Campus of the University by 11.00 am.

Brief Biography
BenjaminAchufusiEzekoye,is an associate professor from the Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of Nigeria. He is currently working in Crystal Growth and Characterization Laboratory of the Solid-State Physics, Materials Science and Solar Energy Division of the Department of Physics and Astronomy of the University of Nigeria. He is involved in teaching and research. Among his several books are Electromagnetism for Universities and Introduction to Quantum Mechanics. He has published over 45 scientific articles in both local and international journals. His research area includes thin film, micro, nano growth and characterization and applications in microelectronics, sensors and photonics. He is happily married with children and lives in Nigeria.

UWA EMBARKS ON HEALTH CHECK FOR UNIVERSITY WOMEN ASSOCIATION, SEPTEMBER 23-25, 2013
I have been directed to inform all the registered members of the University Women Association (UWA) to take advantage of the forthcoming Health Check Programme being organized by the wife of the Vice-Chancellor, Barrister (Mrs.) Nwanneka Okolo in conjunction with University Women Association, and team of experts from College of Medicine, UNTH, Ituku-Ozalla from Monday, September 23 to Wednesday 25, 2013 at University Medical Centre, Nsukka Campus.
The Check comprises breast and cervical cancer examination. Others include Blood Pressure, Cholesterol Profile, Blood Sugar, etc.
According to a statement signed by the President of the University Women Association, Professor (Mrs.) A.I. Achike, all UWA members should register now with their Zonal Representatives for the exercise.
